Fred Betz's Biography

Fred Betz is interested in paintings that tell stories. His goal as he paints is to discover rich and surprising images that express his emotional understanding of the world.

His central focus is human relations and identity and how one affects the other. His images are meant to be playful but also poignant and truthful. Fred Betz studied at the University of California at Santa Cruz, and Yale and Columbia Universities.
